Duck and Goose Hunting

It’s still dark and in the morning twilight your making your way into a dark but pretty warm pit, you sit with the lid open and within seconds, in the twilight of the morning the show begins, a single duck zooms back in and sits on the water, its not shooting time yet, then a flock of 25 pintail slide through and swing to sit down, its killing you, a large flock of specks with a few snows mixed in fly over and then the guide calls time…………………
WFS moved to northwestern Missouri 3 years ago, we are located 3 hours from Des Moines, 6.5 hours from Chicago, and within 2 hours from Kansas City, Omaha, and Lincoln. We have held leases in Illinois, and Arkansas, but due to a decade of light winters we have made our home on the Mississippi Flyway in northwest Missouri, during the months of November, December, February and March. We currently lease several thousand acres, we flood several 40 acre lakes of corn stubble and hunt from heated pits in some, dry fields, ponds, ditches and the river. This is the best puddle duck and snow goose hunting I have ever witnessed in the US borders. Nearly a million ducks and several million snow geese use this natural funnel to stage and migrate through. Located along the hills, bottoms,
and ponds of the main Missouri river bottom, you will find no less
than a dozen species of ducks not to mention several species of canada
geese, plus snow, blue, ross, and speckle belly geese. It is an underdeveloped
mecca for migrating waterfowl. Recently there was an article published
in Mid-West Outdoors Magazine about our spring snow goose hunts. Currently
starting February 1st-April 30th you can hunt snows, blues, and ross
geese with electronic callers, unplugged guns and no daily bag limits.
It can be fantastic hunting at this time, just the sight of hundreds
of thousands of birds in the air is an unexplainable experience, you
must see it for yourself ! The season is longer during the spring
but we only hunt during prime migration as we do in the fall, and
as an added bonus your license is only $6, no other licenses are required
for the spring hunts. Book Now for
Feb. 15th - March 15th, 2006 as limited space is
