SOUTHERN MICHIGAN DEER HUNTS:

The morning is frost bitten. The ground crunches under your foot as you sneak as quietly as you can to your stand. You’re so excited you’re freezing, but you know you have several cold hours on the stand. As you get into your stand you get settled in and wait for the warm sun to come up and save you, as it does the deer start to move from the fields into the thick cover where your waiting to make that memory of a lifetime…………………………………………………………………………………….

If you love to deer hunt then we have the hunts for you. I will start by telling you my whitetail experience. We have harvested many trophy class bucks, all in the state of Michigan. If you are a Michigan hunter, you know how hard this is to do. I have guided and taken over 25 trophy class bucks, these are 8pts. with 15 inch plus spreads up to 150" bucks. We have harvested 100's of whitetail deer over the years, and I have guided and allowed very little commercial hunting just the last two years. We started to allow deer hunting to help with our lease expense. I assure you I have tried to keep our deer hunting a secret and I have been a bit stingy about allowing people other than friends and family on the property's.

A few years ago we instituted a 8pt. 15” or better rule on some of our properties. We do take an occasional small buck deer as well, and a lot of does on other properties. Because of our agricultural rich area we do not feed our deer, we do have some food plots planted but we rarely hunt over them. We offer a few bow and gun hunting opportunities. We use over 75 bow stands and ground blinds, we also hunt several thousand acres in the heart of the best deer hunting in the state of Michigan.

The biggest deer killed every year typically comes out of Calhoun, Jackson, Branch, Cass and several other Southern counties. We hunt in the middle of this Mega Buck area. Within a few minutes of us a 8pt. buck was killed that tied the existing world record score of 180 + inches, that deer has the longest main beams of any whitetail buck ever killed and last year the new state record bow kill was harvested at over 220 inches just West of us. Yes, Southern Michigan has giant bucks and Michigan it self has more deer, other than Texas, than any other state in the country.

If you care to see some photographs of deer taken by myself and our hunters check out our photo-album.

Soon we will be offering Missouri and Nebraska whitetail hunts, ask if you are interested! I am currently working on several leases and will up date you about our harvests this year. If you are interested, I will be offering some discounted Missouri hunts to see what our new land has to offer! These hunts will include lodging in our new lodge, and licenses can be bought over the counter.
